1 Research on the Need of Visualization Technologies for the Food Cold Chain Logistics in Beijing According to the requirements of food cold chain logistics safety regulation, food cold chain logistics visualization system’s technical requirement solutions are researched specially for meat products and related frozen food. It provides a preference for developing the prototype system in the future. The key problems are as follows: achieving need for real-time acquisition on properties, status and physical environment parameters (such as temperature and humidity) of meat products and related frozen foods; implementing security early warning, product tracking and security traceability during overall processes of food production and circulation; providing supports to enterprises and government departments on food surveillance and supervision in cold chains, respectively. 3 The Research on the Demand of Logistics Industry Key Technology in Beijing

This project is based on “State Council on the issuance of the logistics industry restructuring and revitalization planning notice”, "Beijing City logistics industry restructuring and revitalization of the implementation of the program ", “Beijing city logistics industry key technology support event”.

Through the scientific classification of the existing logistics technology in the application, we study the modern logistics technology needs from the three layers: The characteristics of demand for logistics technology of Beijing city, the characteristics of demand for all kinds of logistics technology of different industries in Beijing, the characteristics of demand for all kinds of logistics technology of logistics park, logistics center, and logistics enterprise in Beijing. In accordance with the principle of combining with the practice and frontier, we find out the key technology suited to the characteristics of the logistics development in Beijing.

4 EC-ChiNa Research Network on Integrated Container Supply Chains (ENRICH) The emerging IT technologies such as RFID and etc., provide a new means to efficiently study the CSC integration, security, operation and sustainable development. In practice, RFID as well as similar emerging IT technologies have many applications in the container transportation, which has attracted many research interests in literature. However, how to use the RFID and emerging IT technologies in CSC integration and management among different modes of transportation, different organisations of interests requires a large amount of research. The open issues in this area may include information transmission and utilization in CSCs in order to improve operation efficiency of CSCs, reduce various container transportation risks caused by natural disasters or man-made, and ensure the sustainable development of CSCs.
Task 1: Proposing the measurement of CSC integration, analyzing the open problems in CSC integration and information transmission, and studying the feasibility of applying RFID and similar emerging IT technologies to CSC integration and information transmission.
Task 2: Studying the methods, techniques and protocols of information collection, processing and transmission in CSCs, based on the RFID and emerging IT technologies, and proposing models and methods of CSC integration oriented knowledge discovery.
Task 3: Studying the models and methods of CSC dynamic coordinated operations, in the situation of crossing different organizations and with a variety of modes of transportation.
Task 4: Investigating CSC risk forecast as well as control methods based on RFID.
Task 5: studying the algorithms and solutions of containers optimal scheduling in transportations as well as in yards based on RFID
