• ICIR Profesor, Yangtze River scholar Chair professor Lida Xu attended the ceremony that U.S. government welcomes Chinese President Hu Jintao

    • Invited by the U.S. government and the Chinese government delegation led by President Hu Jintao, as a representative of outstanding students abroad, ICIR Profesor, Yangtze River scholar Chair professor Lida Xu, attended the ceremony that U.S. government welcomes Chinese President Hu Jintao at the white house south lawn in the morning of January 19, 2010.
    • President Hu and President Obama shook hands with Professor Xu Lida, and made a brief conversation. President Obama said hello to Prof. Xu in Chinese. CCTV news, CNN and Wall Street Journal, USA and Hong Kong's Phoenix Satellite TV had reported it.
    • Professor Lida Xu is a renowned scholar of International Management Information Systems, he graduated from Oregon State University (Portland) with Ph.D.degree in systems science. Now he is Director of IT department at Old Dominion University. Professor Xu also served as editor in-chief, editor or editorial board of many SCI-indexed journals. He is an outstanding researcher on the integration of information systems. Professor Xu is a part-time professor in our school since 2004, he visited our school many times, and he was selected as the first Yangtze River scholar Chair professor of our school in 2008.
    • Our school paid great attention to the teaching staff construction, after years of hard work, our school has become the only school of economics and management with member of China Engineering Academy, consultant of the State Council, Yangtze River scholar Chair professor, national level teaching famous teacher, the members of the discipline appraisal group.
