Beijing Jiaotong University information theory and Technology International research center host “2008 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics” (IEEE/SOLI’2008) successfully

On October 12-15, 2008, approved by the Chinese education ministry, Beijing Jiaotong University information theory and technology international research center and Economic Management school Co sponsored the "2008 IEEE service operations, logistics and information conference" (2008 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics IEEE/SOLI, referred to as the '2008) was held in the Beijing Friendship Hotel. From 34 countries and regions around the world nearly 600 scholars attended.
According to the general procedure, in the morning of 13, October, the opening ceremony and academic exchange of IEEE/ITSS's SOLI08, MESA08 and ITSC08 three conferences were held, nearly 1000 scholars attended the meeting. Our university Vice Chancellor professor Chen Feng attended the opening ceremony, on behalf of the sponsors expressed a warm welcome to participants. Our school academician Xu Shoubo, internationally renowned scholar Professor American Goregia Insutitute of Technology’s Chelsea C. White, director of the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission, Professor Liu Xiaoming, the United States University of California - Davis professor Bahram Ravani invited to make a keynote speech. The meeting was chaired by Professor Wang Feiyue, Zhang Runtong.
In the three-day Conference, the scholars have carried on the discussion group which is divided into 24 themes, the group covered topics that hot issues in many fields: service operation, logistics and information etc.
The meeting received a total contribution of nearly 1,300 domestic and foreign, after careful peer review, contains a total of 590 papers. Accepted papers will be fully included into the IEEE database, and was ISTP retrieval. 2006 and 2007 IEEE / SOLI conference papers have been indexed by EI, IEEE / SOLI '2008 Conference All accepted papers will also be sent to EI retrieval.
