Aims

Information and communication technologies have been providing an effective network infrastructure and development platform for logistics and service operations. To meet the needs of consumers and to promote core competences, many institutions and firms have been developing new types of services. LISS2019 is a prime international forum for both researchers and practitioners to exchange the latest fundamental advances in the state of the art and practice of logistics, informatics and service sciences. The conference theme is “big-data driven technical and management innovation in logistics, informatics and services”. People involved in the conference will discuss academic issues, seize future development opportunities, master the developing trends and exchange the latest academic thoughts.

LISS 2011-2018 were successfully held in Beiing (China), Reading (UK), Berkeley (USA), Barcelona (Spain), Sydney (Australia), Kyoto (Japan) and Toronto (Canada) by Beijing Jiaotong University, in cooperation with University of Reading (UK), The Pennsylvania State University (USA), University of California, Berkeley (USA), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain), The University of Sydney (Australia), Kyoto University (Japan) and University of Toronto (Canada)  respectively. In total, about 1700 authors from 36 countries attended the conferences. The proceedings have been or will be indexed by CPCI-S (former ISTP) and EI Compendex. In 2015, the conference was approved by IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) to be one of IEEE conference series. The conference proceedings will be included in IEEE Xplore Digital Library. The authors of excellent papers will be invited to publish their academic thoughts and methods in some high-quality international journals indexed by SSCI/SCI or EI with high priority.
