Aims

With the economic globalization and changes of the world, there have been many new phenomena, new situations, and new challenges in the industries in many countries. It is necessary for experts to conduct in-depth research on industrial organization, industrial structure, industrial development, industrial distribution, industrial policies as well as the theories of industrial security from a new perspective. International Conference on Industrial Economics System and Industrial Security Engineering (IEIS) is initiated under such backgrounds and is to provide a forum for scholars and practitioners in the world to discuss the problems in industrial economics and industrial security theories and practices. IEIS2024 aims to provide insights in solving the problems in national economy, social development and economic security.

IEIS2014-2023 were successfully held in Berkeley (USA), Barcelona (Spain), Sydney (Australia), Kyoto (Japan), Toronto (Canada), Maryland (USA) and Hong Kong (China) by Beijing Jiaotong University, in cooperation with University of California, Berkeley (USA), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain), The University of Sydney (Australia), Kyoto University (Japan), University of Toronto (Canada), and University of Maryland, College Park (USA), Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary, online), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong, China) respectively. In total, more than 780 authors from 10 countries attended these conferences.

IEIS2024 will be hosted by IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Logistics, Informatics and Industrial Security Systems, National Academy of Economic Security of Beijing Jiaotong University, China Center for Industrial Security Research of Beijing Jiaotong University, the International Center for Informatics Research of Beijing Jiaotong University, School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University, in cooperation with Henley Business School Africa, South Africa, and the University of Reading, UK, and will be held during 26-29 July, 2024 in Cape Town, South Africa, with satellite sessions in Beijing, China.

Paper Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the conference website: http://icir.bjtu.edu.cn/ieis2024. All submissions should be written in English. Papers will be peer-reviewed. Completed research papers as well as work-in-progress reports are welcome. Authors are required to certify that their papers are original and not considered for publication elsewhere. Simultaneous submission to any other conferences, workshops or journals is not allowed. The manuscript must be submitted in conference format (Microsoft Word and Latex templates are available on the conference website). Publications

To be eligible for publication in the conference proceedings, an accepted paper must be presented at the conference by one of the authors. Accepted full papers will be included in the conference proceeding, which will be part of the Springer Lecture Notes in Operations Research book series (LNOR, Electronic ISSN: 2731-0418; Print ISSN: 2731-040X) and submitted for potential inclusion in EI or CPCI (Web of Science). The authors of excellent papers will be invited to publish their academic thoughts and methods in some high-quality international journals indexed by SSCI/SCI or EI with high priority.
