2008 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics, hosted by the international centre for informatics research(ICIR) and the school of economics and management in Beijing Jiaotong University, was held in the friendship hotel during 12^th-15^th, October, 2008. Nearly 600 scholars from 34 countries attended the conference.
