LISS 2011-2019 were successfully held in Beijing(China), Reading (UK), Berkeley (USA), Barcelona (Spain), Sydney (Australia), Kyoto (Japan) and Toronto (Canada) by Beijing Jiaotong University, in cooperation with University of Reading (UK), The Pennsylvania State University (USA), University of California, Berkeley(USA), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain), The University of Sydney (Australia), Kyoto University (Japan), University of Toronto (Canada), University of Maryland (USA) respectively. In total, about 1900 researchers from 36 countries attended the conferences. The proceedings have been or will be indexed by CPCI-S (former ISTP) and EI Compendex from 2011 to 2019. In 2015, the conference was approved by IEEE to be one of IEEE conference series.

      LISS2020 will be hosted by IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Logistics, Informatics and Industrial Security Systems, International Center for Informatics Research of Beijing Jiaotong University, China Center for Industrial Security Research of Beijing Jiaotong University, School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University, in cooperation with Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary, University of Reading, UK, and will be held during July 25-28, 2020 in Budapest, Hungary, with satellite sessions in Beijing, China.
